How do Cash Back deals work for merchants?

You enter your product into our system, set a daily limit and total campaign limit. Then a hold is placed on your credit card each day for the daily limit. This covers the rebates plus fees. Any unused funds are returned to your card.

+

Why do I have to verify my credit card?

Before your first rebate campaign can be launched live, we place two small holds on your card, which you have to correctly enter so we can verify that you are the owner of the card before we accept any standard payments.

+

How does the daily credit card hold work?

Holds are placed on your credit card for 1-2 days for all of the rebates (plus fees) for the daily limit of your campaign. For example, if your daily limit is 5 rebates and your rebate is $10, we will place a hold for ($10 + 5% credit card fee + 1.50/3 per rebate fee X 5) for a total of $60 or $67.50, depending on which plan you are on. The Free Plan will have a higher charge per deal. After 1 or 2 days, depending on how many snags you get, we will receive the charge for the amount snagged and release the rest back to you.

What do I do if a cash back order has an issue?

If there is an issue with an order or a completed action, simply mark the order as disputed in Snagshout Partners and we will open a line of communication between you and the shopper to work out the issue. If a resolution is not reached, then you can bring the dispute to our support team to have the order rejected. Once an order is marked as rejected, then a credit for the full order rebate funds will be factored into your account charges or directly refunded to your card. If the rejection happens after the campaign is ended then charges will be refunded after all rebates for that campaign are in a final state (no disputed or pending orders) or 15 days after the campaign is over – whichever happens latest.

What do I do if a shopper returns an order?

Sometimes shoppers snag rebates but decide to cancel the order or not go through with the purchase, or they may return it to Amazon. On Snagshout, we have a button for shoppers to mark their order as Cancelled or Returned. For any orders marked as Returned or Cancelled, a credit for the full order's rebate funds will be factored into your account charges, or directly refunded to your card. If the return happens after the campaign has ended, then charges will be refunded after all rebates for that campaign are in a final state (no disputed or pending orders) or 15 days after the campaign is over – whichever happens latest. If a shopper returns an order after their rebate has already been paid out, please contact us and we will terminate their account.

+

How long are funds held?

All funds for the daily limit of the campaign, plus fees, will be held each day as long as the campaign is still active.

+

How long until shoppers are paid out?

Currently shoppers are auto-paid 30 days after their snag for non-Action Rebate snags, and 7 days after their action is uploaded for Action Rebates, but you can pay them out earlier if you choose.

+

How does cashback work?

When you create a campaign in Snagshout Partners we place a hold on your card for the amount you plan to give cashback. At the end of each day we release the hold and charge your card for any of your deals that were taken by shoppers. Once shoppers confirm their order they are paid via paypal.

+

How do I verify orders are legitimate?

Shoppers are required to forward their Amazon order confirmation email to us, then the order ID for each order is made available as a clickable link in your Snagshout Partners account, so you can check each order to make sure that it is valid.

+

What are the fees for cash back deals?

The per rebate fees are: $1.50/$3 per rebate + 5% credit card fee + rebate amount. The per rebate fee will depend on if you are on the Pro Plan or below.

+

How do you prevent false orders?

We require the order confirmation email to be forwarded to us instead of allowing an order ID to be written in. We also have several verifications shoppers have to complete before they can use our platform, as well as our own unique algorithm to find suspicious shopper behavior.
